Up for sale is my 2005 Skeeter ZX225 with a 225 HP Yamaha VMAX HPDI. The boat is in excellent condition, it runs great, the gelcoat shines like new and the carpet is thick and clean.

See URL to videos below.

I bought the boat December of 2016. The motor had about 200 hours on it. I fished about 15 tournaments a year in which I would guesstimate 2-3 hours of run time each. That would be 30-45 hours per year, for each of 2017, 2018 & 2019, giving a total hour range on the motor of about 290-335. I mostly fish night tournaments where the speed limit is 25 mph but it runs in the high 60’s with 2 guys and full tournament gear on the way in in the morning. Compression with the motor cold is around 100 pounds on all cylinders. The boat has never given me any problems or left me stranded.

It comes with an 80lb Minnkota Maxxum, a Humminbird 999 SI and a Humminbird Helix 10 DI. The units are networked so you can see side or down imaging on both. There is also a Navionics card. The cranking battery is new last year and the trolling batteries are a few years old (I have never had the TM batteries die during a tournament). There are LED deck lights, stern light and livewell lights installed. The two fishing seats are in good shape but the cockpit seat is torn (see pics). It is still sturdy and comfortable but the vinyl is tearing. I have owned the boat for a number of years. There are 2 GoPro camera mounts. Also included is a rod holder that goes over the rear seat post; I used it for trolling for stripers with the kids.

All 14 fuel filters (water separator, VST, inline, canister and 10 mystery filters), 6 E3 spark plugs and water pump were changed this June (all of that gets changed every 2 years). The 2 livewell fill pumps, the 2 livewell recirc pumps and both bilge pumps work well. Two years ago I was concerned about the switch panel, they tend to burn out. I pulled it off, cleaned it and sealed it with silicone…it works great. The brakes on the trailer work great, fluid was changed this year. All trailer lights work as does the reverse lock out. I check the bearings a few times per season, no play. Two of the four tires are new and have less than 100 miles on them, the other two are older but still have life left.

The boat is awesome and the only reason I’m selling it is because my wife and I started a business 2 years ago and fishing is getting in the way. The boat is being sold as is without warranty. It is of course available for a lake test for the buyer.

You can check out my YouTube videos of the condition of the boat, the compression test and see the motor start and run.
