The Power Station is an all-tube reactance power amplifier and attenuator that gives you the ability to precisely control the output volume of your favorite tube, solid-state or digital guitar amplifier without sacrificing tone.
This versatile desktop power amp can safely attenuate a high-powered amp that's rated up to 50 watts, or boost a low-powered amp. And it also includes an adjustable load box that enables you to safely run a tube amplifier without a speaker.
With a variety of highly useful input and output options, the Fryette PS-2A can handle any instrument or signal source. For example, you can use it to make a little Fender Champ or Princeton tube amp sound like a 50-watt beast, or tame a 100-watt Marshall "plexi" down to the lowest possible volume levels, without compromising the amp's tone and feel.
You could also use the PS-2A as a mono tube power amplifier with a digital modeling amp, to fatten-up its sound with real power tubes (a pair of 6L6s). Or use the PS-2A to re-amp tracks through your favorite tube amp at low volumes. Or use Silent Mode for practice or direct recording. Whether you’re performing live on a big or small stage, recording or just practicing late at night, the PS-2A delivers consistent tone at any volume.
