About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about romance novels and love connecting readers with their next favorite book? We're seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Sales Representative to join our growing romance book publishing company. This is a commission-based position perfect for someone who thrives on performance-driven success and wants to be part of the exciting world of romance publishing.
What You'll Do
Promote and sell our curated collection of romance novels and exclusive book subscription boxes
Build and maintain relationships with readers, book clubs, and retail partners
Represent our brand at events, book fairs, and community gatherings
Identify new sales opportunities and develop your own client base
Stay current on romance publishing trends, popular tropes, and reader preferences
Meet and exceed monthly sales targets
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or customer service
Friendly, personable attitude with excellent communication skills
Reliable transportation for client meetings and events
Basic understanding of romance novels (themes, tropes, subgenres, and reader preferences)
Self-starter mentality with strong work ethic
Comfortable with commission-based compensation
Preferred:
Active participation in the romance reading community
Experience with social media marketing or online sales
Existing network within book clubs or reading groups
Compensation Structure
Commission-Only Position:
15% commission on all physical books and book subscription boxes sold
10% commission on all other sales (digital products, merchandise, etc.)
Unlimited earning potential based on your performance
No salary or hourly pay
Path to Full-Time Employment: Consistently exceed $3,000 in monthly sales, and we will consider bringing you on board as a full-time employee with additional benefits and compensation structure.
